LIGALA

"Enhancing and supporting the well-being of communities through art ,creativity and innovation towards community transformation"

How We Do It

Through co-creation with our communities, our programmes are built to inspire progressive behavioural changes that tackle health, education, socio-economic and cultural challenges in our communities.

We believe that local artists play a significant role in influencing perceptions in the communities. Through capacity building, we are able to maximize their impact through effective messaging and targeting.

Who Are We

Ligala is an art-driven not-for-profit entity registered in Kenya in 2018 in accordance with the Kenyan law. AGI exploits art and creative tools to deliver socio-economic and cultural impact among communities and groups with whom we work. Our work is anchored on the idea that creativity and art can be used to generate innovative solutions to 21st century challenges facing our communities today.

AGI further champions greater research and focus on the creative sector to improve ways of engagement with the sector in improving socio-economic, political and cultural situations in Kenya. Without proper and credible research, AGI’s work is impaired and may not lend a credible hand in driving social change, civic education and engagement, capacity and advocacy, as well as creativity in and of itself.
